In the following paragraphs, you will get to know me personally and professionally, through my eyes and those of my friends and colleagues. There is even some personality test data to help round out the experience of "me." Once you finish reading, you will know why you like me, why you don't, and how we might best benefit each other in this global community in which we live.

Professionally, I am preparing to launch a new career as a middle school math & science teacher. I have trained staff in procurement areas and tutored kids in math of all ages. When the opportunity to explore teaching arose, I jumped at the chance! I expect to become Highly Qualified with an Elementary endorsement in April 2012, in accordance with WA State laws and the federal No Child Left Behind legislation.

I am great at active listening, pursing excellence, and am grounded with strong integrity. I have broad expertise in administrative and financial management, project management, complex contracts administration, best-practice business process, operations leadership, database management and have a penchant for developing human capital.

Personally, friends and colleagues say I have a certain tenacity about myself (which I get from both my parents and have also seen in my son), that I am a high-energy achiever, with strong ethical values, attention to detail, excellent customer-oriented service delivery, and a persistent, focus-driven approach to reaching agreed-upon objectives. A family man, my challenge is ever the pursuit of a balanced lifestyle.

I enjoy "administrating" both in my interests and in my style. I like activities that allow me to gather information and then analyze or reflect on it. I like to create systems that organize my world so that there is a process that governs all activity. I enjoy spending my time managing the details that enable people and organizations to function seamlessly. When working with other people, I am fair and democratic and always can be counted on to deliver what I commit to. Myers Briggs says I'm an "INFP."
