Chris Neary
Hello, I’m Chris Neary. I’m a brand strategist, entrepreneur and community advocate based in Vancouver.
I began my career in London as a Creative Director at Agency.com, working with global brands including British Airways, Intel, Formula 1 and Fox. After moving to Canada, I joined TELUS and eventually became its youngest Director of Marketing Communications, helping develop the animal-based brand platform that has become one of Canada’s most enduring advertising campaigns.
In 2007, I founded Frank Strategy, a Vancouver-based brand, creative and digital consultancy. Today, I advise business owners, CEOs and leadership teams on brand positioning, growth strategy, customer insight and the complicated business of taking good ideas to market. Along the way, my work has received numerous national awards, including a Marketing Magazine Grand Prix and three consecutive Best Brand in Canada awards.
Outside Frank, I’ve tried to apply what I know to organizations working on important social issues. I’m Growth and Innovation Advisor to the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation, Senior Advisor to The Bloom Group, a former President of TEDx Vancouver and a Board Member of the Developmental Disabilities Association of BC. I also founded and later sold Manifest Wellness, a men’s mental-health clinic.
Most importantly, I’m a husband and father of three. Away from work, I’m usually negotiating peace between the kids, working on an old Land Rover or attempting a new song on the guitar.
