Interaction Design, Service Design, and Behavioral Design in Austin, TX
Hello! I'm a designer, doing a lot of interaction design through a service design lens. Currently, I’m the design program director for data and AI at IBM. I also co-authored the book, Orchestrating Experiences: Collaborative Design for Complexity.
Most recently prior, I was a principal designer at H-E-B Digital, helping bring digital transformation to Texas' most beloved retailer. And my priors include head of design for peer-to-peer car sharing service Getaround; head of behavioral design for Capital One and before that, I was head of design for Capital One Labs; and a Design Director for Adaptive Path, the pioneering experience design consultancy.
I was also an adjunct professor at the California College of the Arts, teaching in the graduate interaction design program for four years; as well as an instructor at Austin Center for Design.
I do workshops and talks for companies, such as Mozilla, Pearson, and Best Buy previously. Perhaps I can help your team? I cover topics like designing for behavior change, service design, orchestrating experience on cross functional teams, prototyping, and more.
