Atmospheric Scientist/Meteorologist in Southlake, Texas
I am a professional meteorologist and entrepreneur. I earned my master's and bachelor's degrees in meteorology, along with a minor in mathematics from the University of Oklahoma. I have published peer-reviewed papers in AMS journals and participated in AMS conferences.
I am an Associate Editor for the AMS Journal of Weather and Forecasting. I am a full member of the American Meteorological Society and a corporate member of the National Weather Association.
I was recognized by the National Weather Service Employee's Organization as a Lifetime Honorary Member for past & ongoing contributions. I also serve on the National Weather Association's Social Media Committee.
I founded my organization, iWeatherNet, in 2008. My clientele include emergency managers, city managers, school boards, law enforcement, State Highway Patrol, various newspapers, and a number of commercial entities.
Past Employment: National Severe Storms Laboratory (7 years), National Hurricane Center (tropical forecaster), National Weather Service Fort Worth (forecaster).
I'm financially independent, own my home in Southlake, absolutely adore my two siberian huskies, and I travel to visit my family in Atlanta, Georgia several times a year. I have 7 nieces and nephews. I love to help others, and I especially enjoy networking within the professional community and mentoring future meteorologists.
