Chris Sund

Chris Sund is an American author, keynote speaker, podcast host and healthcare staffing executive. He is the author of You Are Capable of More and serves as president and chief operating officer of three companies, Uniti Med, GQR Healthcare and Nebula, an AI powered talent sourcing platform. He has spent the past decade in healthcare staffing. He also serves as president of Chris Sund Leadership LLC.

Sund began his career in the restaurant and beverage industry before entering healthcare staffing in 2016 at Fusion Medical Staffing, where he worked as a recruiter, client manager and division manager, and later as director of sales and business development. He joined Uniti Med in January 2022 as chief operating officer and was promoted to president and chief operating officer in May 2023. Revenue across the company's travel nursing and allied health divisions grew tenfold during his first two years. Uniti Med ranked No. 622 on the 2025 Inc. 5000 and No. 3 on the 2025 Inc. Regionals: Midwest list, and was named to the 2023 Fortune Best Small and Medium Workplaces in Health Care list. Midlands Business Journal named Sund to its 40 Under 40 class in 2023.

He is the author of You Are Capable of More: A No-Excuses Guide to Becoming Your Best Self, published by Game Changer Publishing on August 13, 2026, with a foreword by performance coach Ben Newman. Part memoir and part practical guide, the book is organized around ten principles and draws on a survey Sund conducted of more than 200 working adults, in which 92 percent said they believed they were capable of more than they were currently doing and self doubt ranked as the most common barrier. It is supported by free resources including a diagnostic quiz, worksheets and a 30 day challenge.

Sund speaks at conferences and corporate events nationwide on personal growth, leadership, workplace culture and sales, and is known for two named frameworks, SPARK for retention and LAARC for objection handling. He founded the Amplify Speakers bureau and hosts the Amplify Speakers Podcast, which features interviews with speakers, authors, athletes and business executives. His writing has appeared in Forbes and Inc., and he has been a guest on My KC Live on KCTV5 in Kansas City, First Alert 6 Daybreak on WOWT in Omaha, Pure Nebraska on 10/11 News in Lincoln, Studio 512 on KXAN in Austin, Bloom on WFLA in Tampa and Iowa Live on Local 5 WOI in Des Moines.

He serves as vice president of the board of directors of the National Association of Travel Healthcare Organizations and is slated to become its president in 2027. He contributes to the membership committee of the National Association for Health Care Recruitment and is a Maxwell Leadership Certified speaker, trainer and coach.

Sund attended Fremont High School. He lives in Fremont with his wife Courtney, a respiratory therapist, and their three sons.
