Christa Casillas

Christa Casillas is a dedicated educator in Nevada with nearly two decades of experience teaching middle school, high school, and adult learners. Since beginning her career in 2005, she has refined her approach to meet the diverse needs of students across different age groups and learning environments. Her teaching philosophy centers on adaptability—tailoring her classroom management and instructional strategies to support each student's unique path to success. She maintains open communication with families, recognizing that collaboration between educators and parents is essential to student achievement.

Beyond the classroom, Christa is deeply committed to serving her community through volunteer work. She is particularly passionate about advocating for individuals experiencing homelessness, having worked with organizations like the Nevada Homeless Alliance and the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth to distribute food, clothing, hygiene products, and connect people with critical resources. She has also tutored women pursuing their GED/HSE through The Shade Tree and championed the preservation of local history through "Save Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs.
