Christal Gordon
I completed my BS at Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, NY and her MS and PhD at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. My graduate work was on bio-inspired, bio-interfacing circuits. These were mostly sub-threshold circuits that used Fowler-Nordheim tunneling and hot-electron injection to emulate synapses, the connections between neurons crucial for learning and memory. This work led to working on DARPA's SyNAPSE program for my post-doctoral work at Georgia Tech. My experience includes these neuromorphic circuits, teaching from the high school to graduate levels, and consulting for a neural interfacing company. In my spare time, I enjoy practicing the Brazilian martial art capoeira, playing the west African djembe drum, and performing with the band Batala.
