Begin working as a Special Education Teacher
-My passion for being a Special Education Teacher arose from a personal connection where I grew up with two of my cousins being diagnosed and living with Autism. I have loved them unconditionaly and have enjoyed working with them over the years of my youth. However, my sole passion arose by accident. During high school I planned on working in the medical field. It was but a brief time I realized that was not the path for me. I continued to take my Health Occupation Classes and with my teacher understanding my career path she provided me with several oppurtinities to work with the Special Education Class at the High School! I fell in love with working with them! I continued the next year and a half in my Health Occupation class and was able to complete my "health" observations at the high, middle, and elementary schools working with the special education classrooms in my town.
Return to Augusta University to earn my Masters in Educational Leadership
