Chris Throgmorton

Chris Throgmorton has built his career by taking responsibility and guiding teams through demanding environments. From leading more than 150 Marines to overseeing clinical trial transparency at Neurocrine Biosciences, he has always focused on clear goals and steady execution.
As Head of Clinical Transparency at Neurocrine, Chris directs strategies for global clinical trial disclosure and ensures compliance with FDAAA 801, EU CTR, and related regulations. His experience across military service, biopharmaceutical work, and government-regulated sectors has shaped a practical approach to leadership.
At Neurocrine, Chris developed the entire clinical trial disclosure program. He developed internal procedures, vendor oversight frameworks, and document management systems, utilizing tools such as Smartsheet and SharePoint. He manages compliance across multiple regulations and advises executive leadership on maintaining transparency as requirements evolve.
Earlier in his career, Chris served as a Program Lead at a major biotechnology company. There, he managed supplier relationships and performance analytics within the Regulatory Affairs and Safety department. He oversaw budgets exceeding $50 million, led strategy for more than 15 drug products, and developed vendor governance models and dashboards that enhanced decision-making and audit readiness.
Chris's leadership skills were first shaped in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as a Sergeant and Quality Assurance Safety Observer. While in this role, he led Marines and civilian contractors, and his unit became the only one on base to pass the annual audit under his supervision, earning him the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Outside his professional responsibilities, Chris supports several community efforts. He donates to CHOC to help advance children’s health, sits on the board of Kid Gloves Boxing to mentor youth, and contributes time to veteran transition services.
Chris Throgmorton earned his MBA from California Lutheran University and a BA from Arizona State University. He enjoys fitness, volunteering, and staying informed on biotech policy.
