Christian Aramy
My name is Christian Aramy, I'm based in Port-au-Prince and have worked as a fixer and translator for the New York Times, Washington Post, Financial Times, PBS Frontline and for the World Health Organisation (vaccination campaign).
I currently hold the position of Director's Assistant for the organisation 'Waves for Water'; a charity delivering filters and clean water supplies to Haiti and worldwide.
As well as my organisation and media work, I am a production assistant and sound recordist/assistant with 'Lakou Mizik' - a multimedia celebration of Haitian music and culture. Haitian music is a great passion of mine and I'm happy to share it with the world.
Please contact me if you'd like to speak with me about how I may assist or make arrangements in Port-au-Prince, for your assignment/work/projects in Haiti.

Christian is a pleasure to work with. His calm, friendly, patient disposition and keen local knowledge enables a smooth production process. He is a quick-learner and has been an asset to the Lakou Mizik video production process, both in the capacity of audio recording and general production assistance. I highly recommend his work as translator and fixer, as well his media capabilities. Brietta Hague. email: [email protected] - Lakou Mizik Video Producer.

Since the January 2010 earthquake I have been back-and-forth to Haiti, bringing safe water to thousands. The design of our projects in each country includes working closely with local people who know the language and culture. My office was in Petionvillle and this is where I had the good fortune to be introduced to Christian Aramy.
