Christian Panas

I have a humanities and social sciences background but have made a life in the technologies enabling solutions between creative, technical and institutional types. I've studied at the University of Chicago, helped to create digital exhibitions and collections with cultural institutions around the world while working in Anthropology at the Smithsonian Institution, and I ensured that the print press at the ATHENS 2004 Olympics actually had functioning telecommunications and internet as well as co-running their support staff. I have lived in the Zen Mountain Monastery for over a year, working (when not sitting) to help put their nonprofit audio and text publications online. Right now I am engaged to the woman of my dreams and living the minimalist life in the Catskills. And still visiting the monastery. These days I do a bit of tech work, a bit of landscaping, a bit of waiting tables at Peekamoose (one of the finest restaurants you could ever visit) and I'm working at a bit of writing.
