Christian Powe
Hello All! My name is Christian Powe and I'm your friendly neighborhood community leader and social innovator! I work for the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (AACCNJ), am the Project Manager for the Holistic Urban Building (HUB) Initiative, and I am the Head Committee Liaison of the Young Entrepreneurs and Professionals Network.
Before working for the Chamber, I worked on a few notable campaigns, for instance the 2013 New Jersey Gubernatorial race and the 2014 New Jersey Mayoral race. I've also had a brief yet characterizing career as the staffer in political consultation firm headquartered in Harlem and Queens, NY.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in History from Seton Hall University, where I helped co-found and serve as the first president of Black Men of Standard. I am a Martin Luther King Scholarship Alum and am currently earning my Master of Arts Degree from the Seton Hall School of Diplomacy and International Relations.
In a poli-economic climate of uncertainty, my mission as the Project Manager of the HUB Initiative is to equip New Jersey's up and coming non-profit community action agencies, that serve the New Jersey sub-poverty population, with the knowledge and tools of social innovation and ingenuity. It is my pleasure to be the resource to which New Jersey's finest community outreach agencies can confide in for matters of financial management and fund development, staff and board development, executive leadership, and regional procurement. At HUB, our goal is to help these agencies become more fiscally self-sufficient, organizationally efficient, and socially innovative in making a huge impact on their local communities.
My job as the Head Committee Liaison of the Young Entrepreneurs and Professionals (YEP) Network is to pool together New Jersey's best young talent, chair networking programs, host business acumen seminars, and provide community advocacy in order to prepare New Jersey's emerging entrepreneurial leaders to be resourceful and productive business leaders. Every day I am connecting the emerging entrepreneurial leaders of tomorrow with resources that enable them to actualize their fullest potential.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them and assist you in any of your community and/or agency needs. Below is my contact information:
