I have had a love for exploring ever since I could remember. I am a passionate traveler who has been fortunate enough to visit over 15 countries during my life. I have scaled cascading waterfalls in Yosemite Park and toured castles that were built hundreds of years ago. It has been so interesting to learn about new cultures and places that I would have never imagined I would be able to visit. This passion for travel all started because of my mom. My mom brought us to Scotland to experience Christmas outside of the country for our very first international trip. We went on a boat tour of where the Loch Ness monster was said to live and went to the local Christmas market to drink apple cider and eat warm pretzels. Ever since Scotland, I was hooked on the idea of traveling. Traveling has also led to my passion for exploration and hiking. Through hiking in national parks and mountains, I have come to the resolution that the view is always worth the hard work it takes to get there. I would always tell myself if the hike wasn’t hard then the view must not be very good then either. Hiking taught me the importance of hard work and that many things in life aren’t easy. I also realized that the world has so much to explore and if we just stay in the same little “bubble” our whole lives then we are missing out immensely on what the world truly has to offer. Travel allows us to explore new cultures, meet new people, and see the world from a different perspective. A huge reason for my love for travel is because of the time it allows me to spend with my family. Growing up, I have always been very close to my family. Even though we are traveling far away from our house, the trips we go on still find a way to bring us closer together. Lastly, traveling has always found a way to keep me busy. With so many new things to explore, I have found out that I am happiest when I am always doing something which keeps me busy. The memories and experiences that I gained from traveling are truly priceless and will surely stay with me for the rest of my life. I cannot wait for the next journey I embark on in the great adventure we call life.
