My name is actually Geir Christian, but everyone calls me Christian, so that is what you get to call me too. I was born in Arendal, Norway and lived there for 30 years until I moved to the US about 10 years ago after marrying a wonderful American girl. We had a dream wedding at a small white wooden church in Norway, and celebrated our 10 year anniversary last year. I have 3 kids, aged 8, 6, and 2. Between my full time job as a Respiratory Therapist at Duke Hospital, a student at NCCU, and the family, life can get busy sometimes, but that is better than the opposite, right? My plan is to become a nurse. I absolutely love my job as a respiratory therapist and working at Duke in general, but I think as a nurse you have more opportunities and are allowed more flexibility as far as what types of jobs you can do, and what kind off schedules you can work. When I am not working or studying I try to hang out with the kids, play some guitar and piano (poorly), and if I can make it I try to play a little soccer with friends. Sometimes I even hang out with my wife.
