Medical professional Christie Mensch graduated from Manson Northwest Webster High School in Iowa. She went on to major in chemistry at Valparaiso University, before attending medical school at Creighton University. While completing a residency at the University of Kansas, Christie Mensch attained chief resident status and received the Student Voice Award.

Since 2015, Christie Mensch has served as a psychiatrist at Wyandot Center, a community mental health provider in Kansas. She delivers comprehensive outpatient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients coping with anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, psychological trauma, and other mental health issues. Broadly experienced, she has also performed triage assessments and provided acute care for veterans as a physician at the Kansas City VA Medical Center.

In her free time, Christie Mensch cooks classic American meals traditional to the Midwest region. She uses fresh, locally farmed produce and prepares recipes that call for slow roasting or braising to highlight the natural flavors of a simple set of ingredients. Besides cooking, she enjoys reading and appreciates art from the Italian Renaissance.
