Chris Tilden

I am a public health professional living in Lawrence, Kansas (Douglas County). I've worked at the local, state and national level to enact policies and programs to improve the lives of people. I am committed to collaboration to build healthy, vibrant and just communities.

In Douglas County, as in other places where I have lived and worked, my most significant professional accomplishments have resulted from working in multi-sector partnerships. Much of my current work revolves around the local LiveWell coalition, a group of area residents and leaders that for 10 years have sought to make Lawrence and Douglas County a healthy community for all families to live, work and play. I have been an active member of multiple coalition work groups as well as the Executive Committee, and served as the coalition coordinator. The coalition has played a key role in many systems, policy and environmental changes that have improved the lives of area residents.
