Christina Manning

"Dynamic Venturer" is a fairly good way to describe how I approach life. My life's philosophy is that it is never too late to change your major. I excel at creative challenges and foster "outside the box" thinking in everyone I interact with. I tend to take advantage of any and all opportunities I'm presented with that will leave where I am better than when I got there.

I come from a very long line of trail blazers. My ancesters were considered "visionaries" of their time, so I come by my abilities quite naturally. I have never been afraid to do something that hasn't been done before, as long as I could see the benefit to "The Big Picture." I am the product of an "Engineering" father and a "Fine Arts" mother. Tell me what you need, the parameters I have to function within and I can figure out a way to make it happen.

In my limited time on this planet, I have mastered all things "Clerical" (from Receptionist/Secretary thru Executive Administrative Assistant). I have also earned a BSN, an MA in Workforce Development & Education, and an MS in Nursing Informatics. I have taught at the secondary and post-secondary level. I have made computer programs do things other "professionals" thought impossible.

I believe that technology is meant to improve the world we live in, and have been a technophile my entire life. As a small child, I was that kid who liked to take things apart to see what made them "tick." I am honored to say that my mother was very supportive (most times) in this regard. I believe that the future of health care and optimal patient outcomes resides within the evolution of Information Technology. I intend to help move Life in a positive direction by being a effective liaison between Clinical and Information Technology professionals.
