Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science

Graduate Student at Point Park University

I am an ambitious Environmental Science graduate eager to face the challenges in this growing field.

My classroom, activity, and previous work experience qualify me for this position. I have knowledge in environmental protection, environmental risk, toxicology, and chemistry. During my recycling internship experience at Marietta College I learned to collaborate with college staff to complete projects around campus.

This past summer, I traveled to Costa Rica to work on a variety of projects involving conservation and protection of wildlife areas. This enabled me to work in a variety of conditions and with diverse personnel. This experience has enabled me to collect data accurately and process it effectively.

Last year, I also had the ability to be a leader when working on tasks. I was the Public Relations Vice President of my sorority. This enabled me to work collaboratively and get work done. During my time as a leader, it gave me experience working with others.

In May, I completed a sustainable housing proposal for a residence hall on my campus. My group and I conducted energy and water budgets for the entire residence hall along with suggestions to reduce water and energy. We were offered at $25,000 grant from Dominion Gas Company in which we used to install solar panels on the roof of the residence hall.
