Recently I set upon a new venture in my adult life, relocating to New York City to work for a private equity firm and to attend business school.

My parents and grandparents came to this country as immigrant refugees from communist Laos in the early 1980s. My biological father was killed in a car accident before my second birthday.

My mother re-married about a year later and my adoptive father has spent the better part of the past 20 years making sure I was a daddy's girl. But don't let that fool you because I'm also fiercely independent.

I'm a techie, a geek at heart. I love gadgets and tinkering with them. I love the nuts, bolts and gear behind them that make it all work. I love numbers. I'm a phreak, a hacker, a lover and a fighter.

I love people with conviction and principle. I love Liberty and language. I love my country and my countrymen. I love a healthy handshake.

I despise negativity and unpleasant personal energy. I don't hang out with people who love to speak badly of others regularly. I loathe selfishness, depravity and disregard for others.
