Christina Rintalan
A proponent of natural horsemanship methods, Christina M. Rintalan works as an equine trainer in Somis, California. She started riding horses at age six, and always dreamed of raising horses and owning a ranch. By age 11, Christina M. Rintalan was competing in rodeos, first in gymkhana, from a Native American phrase meaning "games on horseback," and then in barrel racing. As Christina M. Rintalan became a bit older, she channeled her competitive drive and genuine love of horses into learning a significant amount about horse management and the proper ways to rear and break the animals. After studying sociology at Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, California, Christina M. Rintalan parlayed her lifelong interest in horses and her advanced knowledge of their proper care into her current position as a trainer.
Christina M. Rintalan specializes in breaking bad habits in previously trained horses and starting untrained colts. Her clients include other riders and owners in need of additional horsemanship training and assistance, and she currently cares for 10 horses. Exercising each animal five times a week, Christina M. Rintalan adapts the exercise schedule of the horses in her barn to the intended jobs they perform for their owners. She also currently owns three horses.
Invested in giving back to the equestrian community that has so enriched her life, Christina M. Rintalan volunteers as an equine therapist for children with disabilities, and participates in the American Cancer Society, Inc. event Hoofin' It For A Cure.
