Teacher, Mother, and Volunteer in Waterbury, Connecticut

Hello, I’m christine. I’m a teacher living in Waterbury, Connecticut. I am a fan of arts, education, and music. I’m also interested in DIY and crafts. You can hire me with a click on the button above.

It may not show on my profile but I have 7 years’ experience in caring for children, personally and professionally. I have had a couple clients through care.com along with many others obtained through reaching out in the community, volunteering, and with being a para professional in a couple schools. I have been working with kids of all ages up until 12 years old. I am looking to have a carrier in something that teaches me new things, helps me interact with new circumstances and environments, interact with new people, explore new opportunities, and build up my work history and experience. I like to do what I can to help people and do my duties efficiently. Through my training and personal experience with my son, along with what I’ve tried in my classrooms, I found different ways to make learning more fun for kids and different ways to apply it. I am CPR and first aid certified, and have completed the virtus training. I have experience as a nanny , a babysitter, and with cleaning, infant care, pet care, and plant care, general errands, doing meal prep, preparing nutritious menus, along with tutoring some kids in reading, elementary math, and algebra. I’m Currently finishing up my 2 associates degrees and 1 certificate for early childhood education, and liberal arts and sciences. i am also available for date nights, sick days and overnight care as well. i personally am interested in music and arts, therefore i try to incorporate those into games and activities which make learning more fun. i have a lot of experiences incorporating music and art in crafts and reading activities for children, along with making games that teach math, 1 to 1 correspondence, phonics, letter sounds, and reading comprehension.
