Christine Vuletich
An award-winning municipal finance officer, Christine Vuletich received three Excellence in Budgeting awards from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). During that time, she served as the Director of Finance for the City of South Lake Tahoe, California. Also during Christine Vuletich's tenure, Standard & Poor's upgraded the city's bond ratings twice, demonstrating the ratings agency's confidence in her management practices and financial policies. For almost eight years, she provided financial expertise to the city's council, treasurer, manager, and a number of departments. Among Christine Vuletich's accomplishments: eliminating an annual $5.2 million structural deficit in the city's general fund.
Presently, Christine Vuletich provides leadership to Douglas County, Nevada, as the Assistant City Manager and Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, she oversees the project management, technology, and finance departments. She also contributes as the county's second in command.
In addition to her daily responsibilities, Christine Vuletich holds memberships in a number of professional organizations, such as the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers, the California Municipal Treasurers Association (CMTA), and GFOA. A certified California municipal treasurer, she also served as President of the CMTA board for two years.
Christine Vuletich earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration cum laude from California State University, Sacramento. She also minored in Spanish and took a number of finance courses. Subsequently, she enrolled in Golden Gate University in Sacramento, where she completed a Master of Business Administration with a focus on General Management. A talented student, she finished her studies with a 3.93 grade point average and graduated with honors.
In her spare time, Vuletich enjoys kayaking, gardening, and hiking. In the winter, she participates in cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
