Christine O'Byrne

I am a creative thinker which leads to innovative solutions.

I am a first rate communicator with a performance background which leads to confident contributions which people often remember and follow up on.

I am an ardent explorer with an inquisitive mind which leads to outstanding research and exciting discoveries.

What do I do?
I make a difference by speaking up for those who are not often heard. I do this through generating new research and advising policy-makers of my findings. I lobby politicians and work with Government officials to develop and implement policy which creates equal opportunities for all. I have worked in policy for a number of years, specialising in the economy, labour market, education and skills. More recently, I have developed additional expertise in health and social care. My work currently focuses on gender issues and, as a result, I have become a Director for the Women’s Equality Network (WEN) Wales, leading on women in the economy. I am passionate about regeneration and social justice.
