Christine Carney
Teacher in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada
Hello,
My name is Christine Carney and I recently graduated with my B.Ed at Queen’s University (Primary-Junior) in 2017. I also received my B.AH in French and Religious Studies in 2016 from Queen’s University. I am currently working at the Toronto Catholic District School Board as a Core French Teacher. This will be my fifth Additional Qualification through Queen’s and I am excited to learn and brainstorm with you all!
All of my teaching experiences (practicums, LTOs, teaching and Additional Qualifications) have affirmed my belief that school encompasses much more than curriculum. School can and should be a place where individuals learn to be responsible, caring, honest and cooperative members of society. I hope to help students become knowledgeable, critical thinkers yearning to leave a positive footprint wherever they choose to go.
I believe languages help connect individuals with the world around them. I am interested in taking this course because I want to learn different differentiation strategies to help ensure that all of my students can reach their fullest potentials. I am also interested to learn more about different technological tools and resources that can help to make learning fun and engaging for all students.
Random facts about me: I love poutine, the Leafs (still heartbroken), and All Dressed Chips.
I am looking forward to working and collaborating with all of you!
