Christine Chong

An editor at NUS Press, a university press at the National University of Singapore, I work mostly on trade manuscripts related to Southeast Asia.

After I completed my MA in English Literature, I attended New York University's Summer Publishing Institute in 2012. I was at Verso Books for the summer of 2014 and am in the midst of completing a Copyediting Certificate at the U Chicago Graham School

Mentored by playwright Huzir Sulaiman, I've also written a few short plays that have been staged both professionally and in school theatre groups, and one that was published by Checkpoint Theatre.

For a time, I was the deputy editor at POSKOD.sg and now organise the only SG-themed pub quiz in town, SG Tipsy Trivia. Unfortunately, I've also recently become quite addicted to playing board games.
