Hello! My name is Christine Momanyi, and I'd love to share my story with you.
I was born in a small village called Nyamira in Kenya, surrounded by the rolling hills and vibrant landscapes that I still hold dear to my heart. Growing up in our close-knit community, I learned the values of love, resilience, and the importance of giving back. My family, though modest in means, was rich in warmth and support. My parents, with their boundless love and unwavering encouragement, were my first teachers and my biggest inspirations.
With the support of my family and community, I excelled in my studies and i eventually left my home to chase my dreams in America. Leaving my village was both exhilarating and daunting. I was venturing into a world vastly different from the one I had always known, but I carried with me the lessons and love from my home.
Now, I am a software engineer in America, working on projects that aim to solve real-world problems and improve lives. Each day, I am reminded of how far I’ve come—from the small village in Africa to the bustling tech hubs of America. My journey has been shaped by the unwavering support of my family and the values instilled in me by my community.
But my story doesn’t end here. I am deeply committed to giving back and helping those who supported me along the way. I am actively involved in community events, both here in America and back home. I organize coding workshops for young girls in my village, hoping to inspire them to dream big and pursue careers in technology. I volunteer at local shelters and community centers, lending my skills and time to support various initiatives.
My heart remains closely tied to my family and my roots. Every success I achieve is shared with them, and every step forward is a tribute to their sacrifices and love. My journey is a testament to the power of community, the importance of education, and the incredible things that can happen when you believe in yourself and have the support of those who love you.
