I have a multifaceted background and have held high positions in three different professions.
As a video games writer, I have eleven years experience writing about video games, six of them as a professional. I am currently the owner and Editor in Chief of Gaming Bus, a website that focuses on the news and business side of the video game industry. Before Gaming Bus, I was a featured editor at Diehard GameFAN and DailyGamesNews, and have contributed to countless sites and podcasts.
As an ice hockey official, I am entering my eighteenth season, and am the Director of Referee Development of the northwest chapter of the Connecticut Officiating Program. I have refereed most levels of the game, including low-tier college ice hockey and professional inline hockey.
In the IT field, I am currently a Help Desk Supervisor at Ventus Networks in Norwalk, CT. Prior to Ventus, I ran a two-man company called CompuBus, which focused on end user and small business IT support. I also have experience with Perimeter eSecurity as a Network Security Engineer and with Stevenson Lumber as an IT Specialist. I am a 2005 graduate of the Porter and Chester Institute in Computer Technology.
Lastly, I am a veteran of the United States Navy, from 1999 - 2004, and am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I was attached to the USS George Washington, CVN-73, out of Norfolk VA.
