Christopher Small is a writer and filmmaker living in the United Kingdom. He has written about movies for a variety of international publications, these include Film Comment, Cinema Scope, Cineaste, Indiewire, Fandor, MUBI Notebook, and Senses of Cinema.

He has also contributed to the collections Allan Dwan: A Dossier (2013) and Hard to Get: The Films and Female Characters of Howard Hawks (2017). His writing has appeared in English, Spanish, Italian, and German, and he has been part of Berlinale Talents, Locarno’s Critics Academy, and a critics jury at Sheffield Doc/Fest.
