Christopher Scanlan

Over the course of his career as a broker, Christopher Scanlan has advised hundreds of clients on their real estate investments. Presently, Christopher Scanlan fulfills the role of Managing Broker of The LIHTC Group,Inc. A firm that acquisition & disposition of properties within the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) market. In addition to brokering transactions of multifamily LIHTC apartment buildings.

Chris Scanlan personally specializes in the acquistion and disposition of Section 42 Tax Credit properties and regularly generates annual real estate sales exceeding several million dollars. He has also brokered more than 300 short sales and is well versed in Illinois’ foreclosure process. Furthermore, several attorneys have come to him for advice on the foreclosure market. The broker has also underwritten and negotiated sales for such high-power financial institutions as JP Morgan Chase, US Bank, and Midwest Bank, among others.

In his spare time, Chris Scanlan enjoys playing golf, vacationing in Florida, spending time with his family, and researching investments. He also volunteers regularly through his local church. Additionally, he collaborates with Home for Heroes, a company that provides discounts and rebates on realty-related costs to military personnel, police officers, and firefighters. Created in response to 9/11, this worthy program has helped heroes across the country save more than $2 million. Finally, he served on the Board of Directors of the McHenry County Association of Realtors.
