I research, write and talk about the dangers of basing climate policy on the idea of a two degree dangerous limit. The decision to warm the world by two degrees has massive implications for all humanity but was a decision taken without democratic involvement. Not only is two degrees of warming going to cause immense suffering but it is also a trick and in fact means there is no intention on the part of policy makers to limit warming. When it becomes obvious we can't avoid two degreees a new limit will be set of four, five or how ever many degrees are necessary to forestall the radical social change that is long overdue. I also do research into other areas of energy and social policy, to keep bread on the table.
