Husband. Father. Gamer. Geek. Professional Eccentric. Foodie. Tea Drinker. Sushi Lover.
I spend my days supporting cutting edge Cancer research in the heart of the city. After work I retreat to the farmland surrounding Columbus Ohio to be with my family and recharge.
I am an IT generalist by trade, focusing my energy into troubleshooting, systems administration, database administration, and ETL. For the past few years, this has been for systems and infrastructure behind the first leg of The Cancer Genome Atlas pipeline. Prior to that I served similar duty for a local Fortune 100 insurance and financial services provider.
During my downtime, I enjoy reading, music, gaming, tinkering with electronic gadgets, and bootstrapping my way into a home workshop. I'm an avid foodie who seeks the perfect bowl of Pho, great Sushi, and a good corned beef on rye (not always at the same time of course.)
I prefer Bourbon, but will savor a good Gin. I'll never pass on a well made craft beer. I prefer solitude to group functions, and have an almost Klingon sense of honor.
I regularly travel back and forth between the US and Canada to spend time with family, get a proper cup of tea, and find the occasional serving of Poutine.
I'm just doing my part to make a difference in the world in my own small way.
