Christopher Bornstein
Hawi, Hawaii
Born, adopted and raised in Lancaster, PA by perhaps the sweetest two people on the planet.
I started my rebellion at the ripe old age of 4 or 5 according to my parents and gave them no quarter in my seemingly endless attemts at thwarting them and all else who sought to have e me be anything but me... not that I had a clue what that was, or to this day, IS.
I joned the Navy after barely escaping the clutches of highschool and scored as high as you could on the testing and chose to be in Navy Intelligence, where I was stationed in Japan on the aircraft carrier USS Independence.
2 marriages - each one followed by a subsequent divorce and a whirlwind of success and failures mixed in relating to education and the wide world of work; chef, salesman, madman, made a million in real estate only to let it go, from South Beach Miami and Las Vegas as a most successful nightclub promoter to Australia as a lifeguard at a waterpark in Ballaratt at the Eureka Stockade.
I then ended up in Austin for a spell and then found myself inHawaii where i learned to live with the earth, was baptised by fire, circled by an oceanic reef whitetip, caught in a landslide, trained for the ironman and then found zen, or maybe I found a convenient way to ot run the race and ultimately found myself drawn to Chinese Medicine, Kung Fu, Yoga, Surfing, learning to walk and run long distances barefoot and most importantly, I learned the way of Aloha and Organic Farming by holding a vegan diet after my truck broke down while looking for guitars at a vegan community called gentleWorld, one of the first ones in the USA.
There is much to be said for the person who learns to feed themselves, and actually grow food... even more if they learn to spend time in the process, allowing it to re-shape ones idea of time into a more...ah... human format=]
Most recently, prior to my re-integration into Hawaii, which has been most eventful thus far, I was riding my bicycle around the world and got as far as Lancaster PA to the bottom of Baja California, Mexico where I was lost at sea in a sailboat captained by Lee Fischer, a man who was seeking death and then subsequently saved by the Mexican Navy, which was a shocker for me as I didnt know they had a navy... True Story...
My goal or aim....
To promote personal responsibility so that we may have peace and a healthy vibrant planet, a planet where our children will be safe and not fearful
