Producer, Recording Engineer and GRAMMY AWARD Winning Music Editor Chris Brown has participated in more than 25 LP & CD projects, with the Paul Winter Consort, which earned numerous GRAMMY nominations. His studio consulting clients include Film & Television composers Mark Snow and Alan Menken. Drawing on a 30 year career spanning the Analog and Digital Recording eras, Chris teaches Music Technology for Worship Technologies Group as well as for the Wooster School. Career highlights include many recordings made on-location in the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York, the largest Gothic Cathedral in the world: Five albums for the Paul Winter Consort, two featuring the Choristers of the Cathedral and a highly-acclaimed recording of the Cathedral Organ. After recording there with Chris, Pianist Mark Kelso named his album "Cathedral" in honor of the majestic building. In addition to more than 50 albums recorded on-location, Chris has extensive experience recording and producing music for video, film and television. Trained for a career as a classical and jazz musician at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Chris continues to perform as a bassist, flugelhorn & trumpet player. He is a long-time member of NARAS, the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
