Christopher Dawson

Christopher Dawson is a New York City-based data scientist with multiple professional credentials and technical skills in a variety of programming languages and software. He completed the Immersive Data Science Bootcamp program at Flatiron School in April 2021 and holds DataCamp licenses such as Data Manipulation with Pandas and Intermediate Python Certificate. Moreover, Christopher Dawson is versed in SQLAlchemy, postgreSQL, NumPy, MatPlotlib, Tableau, and API.

During his time at Flatiron School, Christopher Dawson completed technical projects involving basketball, movies, and water wells. He created a machine learning algorithm to predict the outcome of NBA games via analysis of more than 23,000 games dating back to the 2003 season. He utilized multiple techniques and models and obtained an accuracy score of 67 percent. In addition, he developed a model to predict water well functionality in Tanzania. This involved sourcing 59,000 observations on water well data in the country and using exploratory data analysis.

In his most recent role as director at SquareFoot, Mr. Dawson performed financial analyses and market research for the commercial real estate company. He also worked as a recruitment specialist at Havas Health & You and Phaidon International. He earned a promotion within 3 months at the latter firm after leading his team in key performance indicators.
