Christopher Hanson’s photography and digital manipulation span from photojournalism and fine art photography to advertising and branding.
His art establishes a link between reality and imagination by posing questions about our human existence and its impermanence compared to nature’s endurance.
By examining ambiguity and origin, he creates intense personal touchstones. He strives to investigate the dynamics of those touchstones by manipulating images and exploring its effects on our assumptions about its meaning to the viewer. Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of imagination.
