Christopher Harvin
With over two decades of experience in the industry, Mr. Harvin has practiced the arts of public, crisis, political, and corporate communication in more than 70 counties at the highest levels. In 2013, he was named among the most influential public relations professionals in the industry under 40 years old by PRWeek (40 Under 40).Mr. Harvin is a founding partner at Sanitas International, a leading boutique international communications, digital media and political consulting firm. Based in Washington DC, the firm has represented dozens of high profile clients, to include Heads of State and Foreign Governments, International Businesses, High Net-worth Individuals, Veterans Groups and Technology-based Startups. The firm also extensive experience managing foreign political campaigns and executing integrated communications strategies in emerging markets and developing countries. Mr. Harvin is also a partner at Barbaricum, a SDVOSB U.S. Government contracting firm, which provides communications, analysis and operational energy support to federal clients. His executive responsibility at Barbaricum include advising strategic communication clients, business development, and managing human resources and recruiting. Barbaricum has received numerous awards to include being awarded one of INC500’s fastest growing companies in 2013 and 2014 and was recently named by the Washington Post as a top place to work. Prior to his time building Sanitas International and Barbaricum, Mr. Harvin was key in building and expanding one of the largest crisis and reputation firm’s international practice, where he managed communications for premier clients such as Brand Dubai. During his career, he also served the White House and held senior public affairs and outreach advisory positions with the Secretary and Deputy Secretaries of Defense, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Members of Congress and the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq.
