Chris Jacobs

Chris Jacobs

While most kids were playing hide-n-go seek, Chris began his entrepreneurial career at the age of 9 with a robust landscaping business. Too small to ride or push a lawn mower his father loaned him $200 for a leaf blower and he never turned back. At 18 he started The College Saver, a direct mail marketing and consulting firm for large retail and multimedia companies. He was thrilled to have clients such as Whole Foods and Cox Media all from a dorm room. His work in social entrepreneurship started in 2008 when he co-founded Emergent Energy Group, Inc. For his work there, Chris was voted number 1 as Businessweek’s Top Young Entrepreneur Under 25 in 2009 and the company won Babson College’s prestigious Student Business of the Year Award in 2010. Chris was also named a Global Student Entrepreneur finalist by Entrepreneur Organization in 2009. His many accomplishments have been chronicled in AOL, Yahoo, Businessweek, Fox Business, The New York Times, and many more.

I grew up in Pittsford NY. Love to ski, travel, drink cool beers and or wine, and hang out with my crazy family!
