Christopher Jessup is an award-winning composer and pianist whose music has been heralded by The New York Times for its “eerie wonder.” A graduate of the famed Juilliard School, Jessup’s work appears on several GRAMMY-recognized recordings and spans from miniatures that capture intimate sonic landscapes with clarity and depth to expansive orchestral and choral scores, reflecting a vision that is at once personal and universal.

From sold-out premieres at Carnegie Hall to recording with major symphony orchestras worldwide, Jessup has quickly established himself as one of the most compelling voices of his generation. His music has been commissioned, performed, and recorded internationally by many of the world’s leading ensembles and artists, including the London Symphony Orchestra, four-time GRAMMY Award-winning choir The Crossing, and cellist Jeffrey Zeigler, to name a few.

As a pianist, he has concertized throughout North America and Europe, premiering his own piano concerto in Italy at age sixteen. He has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and other prestigious venues across the globe, with his performances lauded as “refined and eloquent” (New York Concert Review) and “absolutely breathtaking” (Interlude).
