Christopher J. Sise

Christopher J. Sise served as an Assistant Teacher at an independent school in the city of New York before accepting a position in administration, where he believes he can have a greater affect on the education system. As Administrative Assistant of Admissions, Sise aids in interviewing parents and children; conducting school tours; and fulfilling other administrative duties such as preparing admissions packets and generating and distributing contracts. Christopher J. Sise also assesses prospective applicants and enters new student, wait list, and sibling information into the department database. The Independent school provides a traditional program in early childhood that includes field trips, art, storytelling, creative movement, music, and cooking. As an Assistant Teacher, Christopher J. Sise aided in implementing curriculum plans for students moving to ongoing schools and wrote Independent School Admission Association of Greater New York reports. He also conducted conferences with parents. A member of The Association of Teachers in Independent Schools in New York City and Vicinity, Christopher J. Sise also belongs to the Association to Benefit Children, which endeavors to end the cycles of neglect, abuse, and homelessness. In addition, Sise supports Cassidy’s Place, an Association to Benefit Children program enabling children facing poverty and other obstacles to experience special therapies and an enriched curriculum. At Syracuse University, Christopher J. Sise earned a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies with a concentration in Child Education and Development. Previously, he attended Kent School in Connecticut and The Allen-Stevenson School in New York. For 14 years, beginning in high school, Sise acted as a Head Counselor at Trinity Day Camp in New York, a co-educational program for children ages 4 through 11. Christopher J. Sise also volunteered as a Teaching Assistant at the Bernice M. Wright Child Development Laboratory School at Syracuse University, and acted as a Program Design Assistant at Nurturing World Child Care Center in Syracuse.
