Christopher Mallavarapu

Christopher Mallavarapu is a board-certified cardiologist and interventional cardiology specialist with more than 35 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology and is also certified by the Council of Nuclear Cardiology. As a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), he is recognized for clinical expertise and a strong commitment to evidence-based, compassionate patient care.

Dr. Mallavarapu focuses on comprehensive cardiac care, combining advanced diagnostics with minimally invasive interventional procedures. His work includes coronary artery disease treatment, heart rhythm disorder management, heart failure care, and preventive cardiology. He emphasizes personalized treatment plans, coordinated care with specialists, and long-term patient relationships designed to improve outcomes and support lifelong heart health.

His clinical experience includes cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, stress testing, echocardiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and cardiac ablation procedures. He treats conditions such as coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, chest pain, heart attack recovery, and chronic cardiac complications.

Dr. Mallavarapu completed fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Clinical Cardiology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine.
