Christopher McGinnis

Christopher McGinnis is an aspiring news anchor, mutimedia journalist, and producer. His interest in trending news, sports, and his passion for informing others drives him. Born in the city of Philadelphia and raised in South Carolina, he has is the combination of big city lights and southern hospitality. At the age of 12 he began operating the audio board at his local church every Sunday for the next 5 years. In 2013, Christopher joined Clear Channel Media & Entertainment, as a student intern in Savannah, GA where he was assigned to work with the Hip Hop and R&B; station. On 94.1 The Beat he appeared on-air during week, assisted with production of the afternoon show from 3-7, engaged the social media audience, and volunteered with promotional events. One of his biggest accomplishments was he increased was he increased content and feedback among the listeners on the social media sites Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. During the well-known St. Patrick's Day Parade he severed as a photographer for the cluster of radio stations. Christopher is very proud to be a Savannah State Unviersity Tiger where he graduated from one of the top journalism and mass communication departments located in the southeast. He graduated Cum Laude in December 2013 and accomplished a lot during his tenure at the university. As an undergraduate he was provided the opportunity to shoot, edit, and anchor. Christopher McGinnis is currently a member of the National Associate of Black Journalists and was a member of the Mass Communication Student Association in college.
