A 20 year old junior from Prince Gorges County, Maryland. Christopher has made the best of the opportunities that have been presented to him. Even from a young age Christopher was always a hard worker, both at home and in the class room. Once in high school he realized that he could utilize his size in more ways than just looking intimidating. He started his football career in the 9th grade, and while he wasn’t always good, he got better every year until he won MVP of his team during his senior year.
Graduating high school with a 3.3 GPA he was being recruited to play football in college. While there were many offers he decided to stick to his home roots and go to the University of Maryland and become a terrapin. There is where the real challenge started, he wasn’t prepared for the college life style and went out and partied a lot. In consequence his grades slipped bit by bit until he was kicked out of the school his second semester.
This was a wakeup call for Christopher. He was given a second chance to play the sport that he loved while going to school. His choice was between Towson University and North Carolina Central University. He chose Central based on the fact that he felt that needed to get out of his home town. Since attending Central his grades have improved and he has found a home at NCCU.
Christopher wants to one day work for Homeland Security helping with the fight against tourism. His drive comes from the fact that his mother was supposed to be in the pentagon on the day of the 9/11 attacks. Luckily events occurred which prevented her from being there. In return, this sad day in U.S. history had a strong affect on Christopher’s goals because he has a passion for it.
