Christopher Robison
Student and Software Engineer in Cape May, New Jersey
My name is Christopher Robison, and I aspire to excel in my computer science major. As a kid, I loved problem solving so understanding math came naturally to me. Even though computer science is the perfect fit for me now, I started off not knowing what I wanted to do. At first I believed my passion resided in sustainability, because of my interest in green technology implemented in vehicles. After taking a few classes, I realized that this was not my true passion. In order to find what I loved to do, I had to go back to my roots and this made me remember how much I enjoyed my high school AP computer science class.
Now I feel like I am on the right track to my future. As the first person in my family to attend college for their bachelor’s degree, I feel that it is my duty to strive for success. I am gaining such valuable experience through my classes, and I’m fortunate enough to implement what I learn into my school community. I hope that one day I will be able to utilize my degree to develop artificial intelligence, and to better understand deep learning.
Although I am passionate about computer science, I am also involved in activities outside my course. One thing that is very dear to me is Relay for Life, which I have been participating in since high school. I believe that it is such a good cause, and I will continue to stand for that cause. I hope to advance in what I do and become a more well-rounded individual.
