I'm a software engineer. I've been programming for over 20 years, but I stumbled when I first went to college and accidentally got a Linguistics degree. I got a job that made some use of that degree, and I even got to write some code once in a while (if Perl scripts count), but it wasn't really for me. I finally went back to school a few years ago to correct my mistake and got a Computer Science degree (along with a spare math degree, just for fun). Since then, I've mostly been doing "freelance" web development (for a particular design company and its clients), but I'm looking for something a bit more formal and a lot more challenging.
