Christopher Spiegel
St Petersburg, FL
A marketing and communications professional originally from New York City, Christopher Spiegel is the son of the late Dr. Gregory W. Spiegel and Linda M. Christian, both of whom passed away from cancer several years ago. A talented writer and editor, Christopher Spiegel most recently lent his professional efforts to The Education Team, a staffing and operational training management agency for preschools in Florida. As Content Editor, Spiegel created The Education Team’s weekly newsletter, and edited the sales department’s marketing and promotional materials. Prior to this position, Spiegel served as a contract Associate Editor for Cooley-Lewis, Inc. in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Working on a per-project basis, he lent his exceptional creative writing skills to this toy and game company, editing existing content and creating new content, such as writing the parlor game Taboo II.
Christopher Spiegel attended Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he was a starter for the lacrosse club, as well as a finalist for this progressive institution’s Writer of the Year award in 2007. During his undergraduate studies, Spiegel completed an internship in the Public Relations department of Baby Phat Fashions, a subsidiary of Russell Simmons’ Rush Communications. A Political Science major, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in 2009.
Outside of his professional life, Christopher Spiegel enjoys giving back to his community. He has donated his time and energy to the Salvation Army Homeless Outreach, and helped coach the lacrosse team for the St. Pete Dragons. He also spent two summers serving in the fish and husbandry department at the Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, Connecticut. In his free time, Spiegel takes pleasure in a number of hobbies, which include staying physically fit with snowboarding, hiking, and lacrosse. A voracious reader, Spiegel also likes to use his downtime to take in the works of Christopher Buckley and Ernest Hemingway.
