For more than five years, Christopher Francis Stubbs, M.D., has been practicing medicine. Educated at the University of Kansas, he served as a family medicine intern and resident at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and made his strong interpersonal and teaching skills known. Because of this, he earned the “Star of the Quarter" resident award. After completing his postgraduate training, Christopher F. Stubbs, M.D. joined Audubon County Memorial Hospital as a primary care physician.

During his two-year tenure with the hospital, he practiced traditional primary care medicine, such as treating patients with hypertension and diabetes. In addition, Dr. Christopher F. Stubbs provided geriatric care to a local nursing home, along with emergency and urgent care. Due to the fact that the hospital was in a small town, he and his colleagues were tasked with learning about a huge range of medicine.

Concurrent with his role at Audubon County Memorial Hospital, Dr. Stubbs volunteered with an EMS service in Exira and Audubon, Iowa. The medical director of this service, he continues his involvement with it and is responsible for providing medical oversight to the service. To inform both this position and his previous role at the hospital, Dr. Stubbs maintains certification in PALS, BLS, and ACLS.
