Dr. Christopher Twiford was born in Louisville, Kentucky in April 1973 to Ann and Jim Twiford. In 1977 at age 4, Dr. Twiford’s father got promoted to manage his own regional office with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and the family was transferred to Jackson, Mississippi where Dr. Twiford spent his childhood growing up. The son of an English teacher and a claims manager, Dr. Twiford always did well in school and was even accepted into the ‘Gifted and Talented’ program at age 7.

In 1986 at the age of 13, the course of Dr Twiford’s life changed dramatically when he saw his Uncle Bill, a chiropractor, deliver Chiropractic adjustments to some of his family members. “I got ‘the call’ right there! That was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. I knew right then and there that was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. And honestly, it has never changed since that day.”

With the guidance of his Uncle Bill, Dr. Twiford blazed straight through high school and then through his undergraduate studies at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. In 1993 Dr. Twiford entered the prestigious Texas Chiropractic College in Houston, Texas- his Uncle Bill’s alma mater- as the youngest member of his class. In April 1997 Dr. Christopher Twiford graduated as a Chiropractor. 6 years later in 2006 Dr. Twiford was looking for a change in lifestyle and took a chance coming up to practice in Alaska. “Like lots of other Alaskans, I took a chance on coming up to Alaska on a 2-year contract. That was 17 years ago, and I have no plans of ever leaving!”
