Christopher Uzzi

Vietnam War veteran Chris Uzzi likes to help those in need and frequently gives back to the community. He enjoys contributing to local causes and has helped numerous disadvantaged families improve their living situation by offering construction expertise and guidance. A decorated veteran, Chris Uzzi, who served in South Vietnam and Long Biên, was Staff Sergeant and Platoon Leader of the 3rd Battalion 7th Infantry/199th Light Infantry Brigade ground force.

In addition to community support, Chris Uzzi offers his time to various military charities including the AdoptaPlatoon effort and Operation Support Our Troops, a volunteer-based, nonprofit charitable organization that provides comfort, care, and appreciation to American servicemen and women. He also donates to the American National Red Cross and The Salvation Army.

In his spare time, Chris Uzzi can be found on the tennis court helping seniors improve their game. An active tournament player in the division for men in their 60s, Mr. Uzzi holds membership in the United States Tennis Association. He played competitive softball until the age of 40 on a New York defender team as well. Mr. Uzzi enjoys reading books by his favorite author Chögyam Trungpa, whose works include The Sacred Path of the Warrior. He spends time growing vegetables in his garden and carefully studies the principles of Breema. Breema is a method and series of tension-relieving stretches aimed at creating a calm and harmonious atmosphere.
