Christopher Veach

Hi, I’m Christopher Veach, a Chartered Professional Accountant from Lower East Chezzetcook near Halifax, Nova Scotia. I operate the cloud-based accounting firm Christopher Veach, CPA Inc., assisting people and businesses with staying on top of their finances and planning for the future.

I have more than 20 years of professional experience in both the non-profit and private sectors. I’ve held many different roles, including auditor, controller, director, and CFO. I’ve worked in partnership with nonprofits, distributors, manufacturers, and professional services companies. The depth and diversity of my experience provides clarity and insight into running a successful business. A well-designed, implemented, and operated accounting system is critical because it protects assets and yields historical and forward-looking financial reporting for productive action.

I earned degrees in Accounting and English. I believe that clear, honest communication is central to a healthy business relationship, especially when a client relies on my experience to support its financial decision-making. Additionally, I’ve trained in Lean Systems with engineers from Toyota and earned a Google Data Analytics Certificate, sharpening data skills that help immensely with running a cloud-based accounting firm.

Outside of accounting, I am an avid reader and published poet. I’m interested in criminal justice and am passionate about human rights. I am deeply connected to the community: I provide pro bonoaccounting services to the The Deanery Project and sit on the Board of Directors of Crosbie House, an addiction treatment center in the Annapolis Valley.
