Christopher Welch

Christopher J. Welch is one of the few attorneys in North Carolina to obtain certification as a specialist in criminal law by the North Carolina State Bar. Mr. Welch has been honing his skills in the criminal justice system for the entirety of his career. Before opening his private practice as a criminal defense attorney in 2002, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in Onslow and Duplin County. His insight into criminal cases from the prosecution’s side is a major asset when building his clients’ defense strategy. With a long history of successful cases behind him, Mr. Welch has been named one of the “Top 40 under 40” criminal defense attorneys by the American Society of Legal Advocates.
